On December 31st, eLearners concluded its 2009-2010 Career Stimulus Package – a four million-dollar scholarship initiative. The package aimed to support, and inspire under-educated Americans – especially those struggling with employment issues during the stalled economy. Thanks to the generosity of several major colleges and corporate sponsors, the Career Stimulus Package achieved its ambitious goal.
All told, eLearners received more than 400,000 scholarship applications. We awarded full-tuition scholarships and job-shadowing opportunities to more than 100 deserving adults. We also extended the campaign’s original scope, by adding thousands of dollars and 2 additional months of contest time, so more Americans could benefit from the program.
Although the extended deadline for Career Stimulus Package applications has now expired, eLearners is proud to celebrate the response that this program received. We congratulate all the scholarship winners and applicants. And we hope to remind visitors that the biggest step towards career success comes with recognizing your full potential and addressing your desire to accomplish something meaningful.
