
Flavia Colgan is a political commentator and news correspondent who has appeared regularly on The O'Reilly Factor, The Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live. She has been an active contributor on MSNBC, CBS Early Show, Extra, Travel Channel and FOX News. In addition Colgan has co-hosted and appeared on numerous national and local radio talk shows including NPR’s “The Point”, the Alan Colmes Show, the Sirius Satellite show Young Turks, and The Michael Smerconish Morning Show.
Colgan has traveled extensively across the United States and abroad to report on and investigate a wide range of topics and to interview a diverse group of newsmakers, personalities and ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Her interviews have included Al Gore, Walter Cronkite and Prince Albert of Monaco.
Colgan is currently an associate editor for the Philadelphia Daily News and has served on the paper’s editorial board. She has contributed to the Huffington Post, the Harrisburg Patriot-News, Politics PA, and the Allentown Morning Call. In 2006, Colgan launched www.citizenhunter.com, a popular social, political and community action website.
In addition to her media achievements, Colgan was a political consultant who served as campaign manager for both David Wecht for Pennsylvania's Superior Court, and Catherine Baker Knoll for state treasurer. She was the first ever woman and youngest Chief of Staff for Catherine Baker Knoll when she served as Pennsylvania's Lt. Governor. Colgan also served on Governor Ed Rendell's Senior Staff.
Colgan graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in Comparative Religion. She was born in Philadelphia and lived for several years in Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic and Detroit, Michigan. She currently resides in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
