Online Education in the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement
The School of Leadership and Professional Advancement (SLPA) was honored with Distinguished Credit Program and Noncredit Program awards and a Creative Use of Technology award from the Association for Continuing Higher Education.
In recent adult student priorities surveys administered by Noel Levitz, an outside research firm, SLPA students consecutively ranked their satisfaction higher than the national average in every category. Categories include instructional effectiveness and service excellence.
The School of Leadership & Professional Advancement has offered online educational opportunities since 1996. SLPA programs are listed in the Sloan Consortium Catalog of Online Educational Programs, which recognizes high quality online degree programs. Sloan-C, sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, focuses on five pillars of quality in online education: student satisfaction, access, learning effectiveness, faculty satisfaction and institutional cost effectiveness.
There are no residency requirements for any of these online programs.
