Named the largest undergraduate and graduate combined security programs by "Security Magazine" in 2007,
the Master of Science in Security Management degree prepares individuals to assume director-level responsibilities in organizational
and homeland security occupations. The curriculum was developed to give students a depth of background in security fundamentals,
including terrorism and homeland defense, cyber-security and information protection, and critical infrastructure, as well as management
topics including principles and theories of security management. This degree is ideal for those who want to build on career experience in retail,
security, crime prevention, safety, or criminal justice. It also prepares students for doctoral-level study.
The 36-hour degree program is structured in a cohort format, allowing students to complete the degree in 16 months.
