The Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security with an emphasis on National Security Policy focuses on national security policy with a strong emphasis on federal policies, national strategies, and the nexus between homeland security and national security arenas. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the principles of homeland security and national security policies and the tensions and tradeoffs in this policy area.

The certificate meets the need of professionals to earn a credential in this demanding and developing field. This certificate can stand alone as a focused program of instruction, or it can be used toward an appropriate master's degree.

AccreditationThe Bush School is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
RequirementsApplicants whose baccalaureate grade point average was not equal to or better than 3.0 in their last 60 hours of study, may be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
