Prepare yourself for expanded career opportunities and job satisfaction in the counseling field. This COAMFTE and CACREP-accredited online Master's program in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy includes a rigorous combination of distance education and face-to-face preparation. Curriculum includes on-line course work, residential colloquia, and clinical field experiences to prepare you for state licensure eligibility. You'll apply family systems theories and therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of relationship issues, and to assess and treat mental and emotional disorders and problems within the family system.

With your Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Capella, you'll integrate and apply research and theories in the practice of marriage and family therapy, including relational/systemic theories, theories of individual and family development across the life span, and other foundational theories in marriage and family therapy to clinical practice.
