MSN – Diabetes Nursing (CCNE-accredited)

Develop the advanced skills and knowledge to lead, consult, and educate in diabetes treatment and prevention. Capella University offers the only diabetes-focused MSN program available online. This Master program in Diabetes Nursing, part of Capella's CCNE-accredited MSN program, is modeled on the Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges.

Specialization outcomes and course competencies in Capella's Diabetes Nursing specialization are aligned with the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Competencies for Diabetes Educators in order to prepare students according to the highest standards and best practices for Diabetes Educators.

With your Master in Diabetes Nursing from Capella, you'll have the ability to perform patient assessment and diagnosis, as well as identify desired outcomes based on evidence and patient input. You'll also learn to formulate, implement, and evaluate a plan of care consistent with the evidence, diagnosis, and desired outcomes.
