The curriculum, which is modeled on the Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, includes advanced theories, research, and evidence-based practices of nurse executive leadership and administration. You’ll also explore, define, and develop traits that nurse executives need to manage health care quality and safety, manage the finance and operations of the health care organization, lead health care innovations, and respond to health care challenges and trends. Five field experiences, each connected to a specific course in your specialization, offer opportunities to put your courseroom learning into real-world action.
