PsyD - School Psychology

Make an impact on the well-being of young people and help meet the growing need for advanced-practice school psychologists. Aligned with national curriculum standards for school psychology, this rigorous program is the first and only school psychology PsyD program offered online. Through online course work, graduate teaching opportunities, and practicum and internship field experiences, you'll develop proficiencies in consultation, supervision, evaluation, research and planning, ethics, and intervention and prevention strategies. Through interaction with instructors, each of whom is a licensed school psychologist with years of frontline experience and a doctoral degree, you'll gain real-world insight and benefit from valuable mentoring.

With your PsyD in School Psychology from Capella, you'll effectively lead problem solving, strategize a process for consultation and collaboration with professionals, as well as develop, monitor, and evaluate interventions. Additionally you will be able to integrate knowledge of school system structure and evidence-based practice and design strategies to supervise and mentor school psychologists.
