MA in Teaching - Professional Learning Communities (Does not lead to initial teacher licensure)

The Master of Arts in Teaching-Professional Learning Communities is a unique program that focuses on the ability of teachers to connect with one another around a topic of interest, using a collaborative structure. Designed for certified elementary and secondary teachers interested in advanced studies in education, the coursework may assist in a teacher’s quest for National Board Certification, but does not guarantee that certification. Applicants must have a current teaching certificate or evidence of a minimum of one year of teaching experience.

The Arizona State Department of Education has given formal approval of the work done at the University for the certification of elementary and secondary teachers and for the renewal of certificates.
