The Associate of Science in Building Information Modeling (BIM) at IADT online is based on exciting technological innovation in building design – which can help project managers and decision makers visualize a building project from concept to completion. By keeping all involved parties – architects, contractors, engineers, and industrial and interior designers – up to date on developments as they happen, BIM can cut down on inefficiencies and costly delays.
The Building Information Modeling program gives students the opportunity to use, 3-D Design, computer-aided drafting and other design techniques that could make you an asset to a range of clients, contractors and consultants. In addition, students can gain an understanding of commercial/residential construction methods as well as the basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems used in construction. Some of the courses available through this program include:
- Building Information Modeling I, II and III
- Building Construction Methods
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Interface
- Computer Design Rendering
This degree can be completed online, quickly and with great flexibility. IADT has developed a virtual campus that acts as a central location where all course information can be found and accessed at any time. The online courses at IADT are very interactive, deliver via rich multimedia presentations with capabilities intended to give you total control over your learning experience. IADT recognizes that every student is different in the way they absorb information and has created the My Unique Learning Experience (M.U.S.E) to get a better understanding of what learning methods and techniques work best for that student. The IADT community believes it has a special commitment to support each individual's goal and emphasis on the educational, professional, and personal growth of each student.
