Program Information

Illinois Teaching Licensure Preparation (post-baccalaureate)

If you have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher and seek an Illinois Teaching License only, successfully completing Kendall’s licensure-only track will qualify you to apply for the Illinois Teaching License.  If you also seek endorsements or special approvals for your Illinois Teaching License, Kendall has options as well. You may choose to take additional courses in Special Education, which will allow you to apply for an Early Childhood Special Education approval on your license. If your passion is working with children whose primary language is one other than English you can choose to take additional courses  in English as a Second Language (ESL).  This leads to an ESL or Bilingual endorsement on your teaching license. Kendall's School of Education is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for its licensure preparation program that leads to Illinois Teacher Licensure.
