Post University is accredited by The Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Post University is also licensed by the State of Connecticut through the Department of Higher Education (DHE).

The Commission is one of six organizations recognized by the US Department of Education and by the Council on Higher Education as being reliable authorities on the quality of institutions of higher education. This recognition provides for the transferability of credits by assuring standards of quality. The focus of accreditation through NEASC is quality assurance and quality improvement. Post University has been accredited by NEASC since 1972.
