Master of Science in Nursing - Executive Leadership

This program gives nurses the high-level perspective and critical skills needed to manage a nursing department or unit. Coursework covers vital aspects of an administrative role including: assessment and implementation of quality and safety measurements, budgeting, project management, strategic planning and patient communications. The curriculum prepares students for Nurse Executive, Advanced certification exam (NEA-BC).

Saint Xavier's School of Nursing has been designated as a Center of Excellence by the National League of Nursing for a third consecutive three-year term, effective through 2018. SXU is among one of only 35 nursing programs in the country that have been awarded this prominent designation.

The School of Nursing at Saint Xavier was also ranked the #2 Best Online MSN Program in the United States for 2015 by U.S. News & World Report.

AccreditationSaint Xavier University Online is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Illinois State Board of Education. The School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
RequirementsStudents must have a bachelor degree from an accredited college or university, as well as an unrestricted RN license.
On Campus RequirementEach program is designed with one weekend on-campus residency to enhance and reinforce program concepts. There is not a residency requirement for the Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate.
