In just under a year you could start your new career as a Pharmacy Technician. Through classroom lectures and a hands-on externship at a local pharmacy, you will learn to manage and fill prescription requests, calculate drug dosages, understand drug interactions, maintain patient profiles and process insurance claims. Graduates pursue entry-level jobs in retail, hospital, long term care and mail order pharmacies. Graduates are eligible to sit for the exam to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and may also be eligible for registration in Florida which can increase your earning potential and open up more job opportunities. Diploma and associate degree are offered at our Tampa, Florida campus.
