Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Manufacturing Sector

A rejuvenated U.S. manufacturing sector can help move the economy forward. University of Phoenix partnered with the Manufacturing Institute to develop the Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Manufacturing degree program to deliver the core academic competencies required to compete within the manufacturing arena. The degree imparts organizational management, communication and leadership skills as well as operations management competencies to create managers who excel in the use of both “soft” and technical skills. The BSM degree program is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of cross functional managers in any organization. This degree enhances skills necessary for improved organizational effectiveness in a dynamic and evolving workplace. The curriculum focuses on the development of management roles. It emphasizes skills necessary to align resources, and to improve communication, productivity and effectiveness. Through a participative learning environment, students are taught to manage innovation and apply professional skills and knowledge. Program Overviews 8 Special emphasis can be placed on key management areas, including leadership, general management or human resource management based on student preference.
