| Description: |
This course introduces learners to the organizational benefits of managing diversity, and the consequences of not doing so. The requisite shifts in management perspective are also discussed. Aimed at all levels, 'Corporate Diversity Drivers' includes the topics: (A) Business Imperatives (B) Changing Management Mindset. The PrimeDiversity™ Management curriculum provides learners with the understanding that, as the profile of today's workforce changes, so does their own role as manager or business leader. Participants will learn specific strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing a diverse, high-quality staff and fostering an environment that celebrates - and capitalizes on - the uniqueness of the individuals within it. This program is based on the resource manual, Diversity Activities and Training Designs, by Julie O'Mara. Ms. O'Mara is President of O'Mara and Associates, an organizational development consulting firm, specializing in leadership and managing diversity processes. She is a co-sponsor of Diversity 2000, an annual conference using Open Space Technology. Ms. O'Mara is co-author of Managing Workforce 2000: Gaining the Diversity Advantage and former National President of the American Society for Training and Development. These courses have been created under a co-development agreement between Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, a global publisher of insightful human resource development (HRD) materials, and PrimeLearning.com, a leading provider of corporate business skills eLearning solutions. |
