They do not respond well to customary curative medical interventions and they do require health care providers to rethink familiar traditional health care approaches. The goal of this course is to provide nurses with an opportunity to explore the challenges faced by people who experience a chronic physical illness. The role of community health nurses and the epidemiology of chronic disease are also discussed. |
