It also introduces students to the basics of critical thinking and problem solving. Traditional and creative research methods will be discussed. Adult learners will use "virtual libraries," the Internet, and computer technology, as well as more traditional sources of information. This course demonstrates methods of organizing and analyzing information gathered through research and then synthesizing the data collected and presenting it in a well-organized format.
Topics and Objectives include: Research Skills, Sources of Information in the Information Age, Methods of Data Collection and Analysis, Critical Thinking Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, and Documenting Sources and Formatting Papers. |
