| School: |
Stonebridge Associated Colleges (UK)
|
| Description: |
This Social Care Skills Course has been structured so that students can choose exactly the area they need to develop by setting their own learning priorities. These courses can be used by qualified social workers in practice as a source of professional updating, as well as by trainers, lecturers and practice teachers as a source of learning material. They can also be used by individuals who are eager to learn more about a particular area of social work. This course focuses on the ways quality services may be assured in changing conditions. We cover concepts and definitions associated with quality and different ways of assuring quality services. In the first session we look at the difficulty of agreeing on what the term ‘quality’ means. In the second session we look at the link between quality and standards and in the third session discuss ways of introducing quality into an organisation. In the final session we examine some of the problems associated with the idea of quality in social work. |
