This is the first of two modules examining the disease Diabetes Mellitus and many of the policy issues surrounding it. In this module you will be introduced to the nature and pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. You will examine in critical detail some of the standards within the NSF for diabetes, the context of assessment, treatment and management of the disease in adults, children and adolescents, as well as the implementation of these standards within the community and hospital settings, and the evidence base for best practice in diabetes care.ed conclusions from data, Descriptive Statistics is utilised to describe what the data is presenting. This is the second module on diabetes, which continues to examine in detail the remaining standards within the NSF for Diabetes and their implementation. |
