World Regional Geography (GEOG 120)

Due to modern innovations in transportation and communication, we live in a shrinking world. At the same time, conflicts like those in Kosovo and Rwanda remind us of the persistent gaps between people of different religious, ethnic, or social backgrounds. Geography provides tools for understanding what makes each part of the world unique. It also addresses the ways in which different places are linked together. This course provides a tour of the world's realms to explore the physical and cultural contexts in which humans live and interact.
