The focus of the Aromatherapy program is on holistic aromatology which covers the restoration of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health through the application of essential oils. We use the terms “aromatherapy” and “aromatology” interchangeably throughout the course. All healing modalities offered by ACHS focus on the holistic approach. Our philosophy is that only by taking care of the whole person can complete physical, emotional, and spiritual healing occur. Your course materials include an organic Essential Oil Kit in Designer Storage Box and access to the interactive, instructor-led, online classroom. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to safely use the 40 organic or wildcrafted essential oils studied; create lifestyle plans and aromatherapy programs; implement clinic management tools; identify and discuss the olfactory, skin, and muscular systems; discuss how essential oils interact on physical and emotional levels; understand the chemistry of essential oils; compose aromatherapy blends for therapeutic and perfumery purposes, and for cosmetics and soap-making; and conduct aromatherapy research. |

| Requirements: |
Admissions requirements include a HSD or GED, commitment to recommended study time and recommendation for admission at the completion of the admissions interview. An Introduction to Aromatherapy (Aroma 101) or equivalent is a prerequisite. |

6 credits. Graduates are awarded the Certificate in Aromatherapy. |
