The mission of the Master of Education (Ed.M.) is to support practicing K-12 teachers early in their careers. The program aims to nurture a stance of continuous learning and development among teachers that values scholarship, reflection, inquiry, openness and social responsibility. The program also facilitates the online professional growth of teachers as: informed practitioners, reflective researchers, and professional leaders and advocates. This is a 45-credit online degree program for the convenience of practicing teachers worldwide.

You will complete 14 core credits, 12 credits specific to the grade level you teach and 19 credits in focused electives. You have the option to add an ESOL/Bilingual Endorsement. Additionally, this program meets national and Oregon state standards, incorporating the standards outlined by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) in Oregon.
