Northwestern State University offers a four-year educational program in Radiologic Sciences. The program is one of the few baccalaureate programs in radiologic science in the nation. The Radiologic Technologist to Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences Program provides an individualized plan of education to assist technologists who are American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in radiography to gain the skills necessary to meet their future career goals.

This program was designed for technologists who are interested in an advanced degree that can be obtained online. The plan offers an opportunity for the technologist to complete upper division radiologic sciences' courses after the completion of general academics. The technologist may earn credit without enrollment in some radiologic science courses. Students gain knowledge and experience in many areas including: healthcare management, sectional anatomy, trends in professional radiology, advanced radiographic procedures, quality management, research, culture and ethics. Students can earn 43 hours of credit for being an ARRT registered technologist in radiography.
