The University of Minnesota, Crookston Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies degree is an individually designed program planned to provide student opportunities that are not met by the University of Minnesota, Crookston's traditional degrees. This degree, in consultation with an assigned academic advisor, combines the University of Minnesota, Crookston liberal education core of 40 credits a technology requirement of 3 credits, 6 credits of required Applied Studies courses, a first area of study of 27 credits, a second area of study of 18 credits and 26 open electives. A total of120 credits are required for degree completion, including the 30 semester credits awarded by the University of Minnesota campus from which he or she is seeking to graduate. All degrees are consistent with campus-wide standards for completion of a baccalaureate degree. All courses must be selected in consultation with an adviser.
