Degree Title:
M.S. Science & Mathematics Education
College:
Oregon State University
Description:

Science and mathematics educators can earn their master's degree online in the innovative new field of Free Choice Learning (FCL), or further their expertise in science or mathematics as a traditional K-12 educator. The M.S. Science & Mathematics Education online program features two options: Free-Choice Learning or School-Based. The Free-Choice Learning is for professional science and mathematics educators looking to provide experiences for learners to take an active role in science, math and technology-focused education.

The program is geared toward those who work in locations such as: science centers and museums, national and state parks, zoos, aquariums. The School-Based option helps practicing K-12 educators gain knowledge of teaching mathematics or science beyond their teacher preparation program. Educators will benefit from the program's dedication to strong subject-specific knowledge in mathematics or science, as well as the integration of current and emerging technologies. This degree requires 45 credits to complete.
