In our highly technical and automated world, there is a continual and growing demand for mechanical engineers. Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines you can enter. Mechanical engineers work in a wide spectrum of industries – aerospace, automotive, bioengineering, communications, food processing, petroleum and product manufacturing. Missouri University of Science and Technology's master's degree program in mechanical engineering offers a comprehensive education with three emphasis areas: mechanics and system design, manufacturing, and materials and structures.

This graduate degree program requires 30 credit hours to complete. Within the coursework requirements, there is significant flexibility in taking both in and out of department courses, enabling students to develop a plan of study that fits their needs.

Bachelor’s degree with GPA 3.0 or greater (GPA 2.75 for conditional admission); GRE: V+Q 1100 or greater, AW 3.5 or greater. International requirement: TOEFL IBT 86 or greater, or satisfactorily complete an approved English Language Institute. Applicants who have completed a graduate certificate program from Missouri S&T are eligible for automatic admission and need not satisfy the above requirements.
