Master of Arts in Education - Curriculum & Instruction in English Education
The Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum & Instruction in English Education is a 36-credit hour program; 18 credit hours of content coursework will be delivered by the English Department and 18 credit hours of pedagogy coursework is offered by the Teacher Education Department. The program is primarily designed for middle school and high school teachers who are interested in furthering their education in English/Language Arts area and becoming better English teachers. All courses are offered online. Offered in a cohort learning format, this program will provide teachers with the opportunity to network with other colleagues throughout the Nation who have similar professional goals. The cohort will begin in the Fall 2012 semester with a completion date of August 2015. To accommodate teachers' busy schedules, one course will be offered in each fall and spring semesters, with two courses offered in the summer sessions. The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers affordable tuition to out-of state online students. For 2011-12, nonresident graduate online tuition is $375.00 per credit hour; resident graduate tuition is $245.00 per credit hour (fees are additional).
