In the Consultation concentration you will learn to effectively apply consultation skills to improve individual, group, and organizational performance. Share your counseling skills and expertise as you solve problems and make recommendations in a range of settings, including primary and secondary schools, mental health agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and business and industry.

The Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision is not a licensure program and does not prepare an individual to become a licensed counseling professional. It is not accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). However, the program was developed to be in line with national standards for counselor education. Since it is a new program, the university is not yet able to apply for CACREP accreditation. Students will be notified at such time if the program becomes accredited in the future.

Technical Requirements:
Applicants to master's programs should possess minimum online and Internet capability, and KAM-based students should have a working knowledge and understanding of computers, but computer literacy is not essential.

Walden best serves the needs of those students living within the United States or Canada.
On-Campus Requirement:
Doctoral programs require 20 units of academic residency, and some master's programs have specific courses and specializations with residency requirements.
