Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision - Trauma and Crisis Online Degree Information

In the Trauma and Crisis concentration you will apply theory and best practices related to trauma and crisis management working with individuals and groups recovering from the effects of trauma and crisis, such as natural disasters, violence, terrorism or war. Broaden your understanding of the models, leadership roles, and effective strategies to respond to crises as a counseling leader or manager. Learn the appropriate ethical and legal responses to individual, community, national, and international crises.

The Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision is not a licensure program and does not prepare an individual to become a licensed counseling professional. It is not accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). However, the program was developed to be in line with national standards for counselor education. Since it is a new program, the university is not yet able to apply for CACREP accreditation. Students will be notified at such time if the program becomes accredited in the future.
