Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology - Cyber SecurityThe Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology degree in Cyber Security teaches students how to plan, coordinate, and maintain an organization's information security. Computer security specialists educate users about computer security, install security software, monitor networks for security breaches, respond to cyber-attacks, and, in some cases, gather data and evidence to be used in prosecuting cybercrime. The responsibilities of computer security specialists have increased in recent years as cyber-attacks have become more sophisticated. Employment of network and computer systems administrators is expected to increase by 23 percent from 2008 to 2018.* Some concentration courses for this degree include:
