The Master of Science in Information Technology with a Web Design concentration gives you a solid foundation in information technology and real-world applications in web design, allowing you to create and maintain interactive and e-commerce Web sites. Through hands-on experience you will gain expertise in HTML/XML, scripting, embedding rich media and database connectivity, audience analysis, branding, page layout and templates, content organization, and managing and marketing websites. You will also become familiar with e-commerce techniques, as well as e-business models, online security, privacy and ethics. By designing and building client applications that manipulate data in a shared database on a network, you will have firsthand experience in user interface design, object-oriented design, data management and data security.
