The world we live in is significantly shaped by governments and political systems. The political science degree program at Columbia College will allow you to explore theoretical issues such as democracy and practical issues such as the relations between branches of government. You’ll improve your ability to observe, analyze and interpret information objectively and will graduate ready to continue your studies or begin a career in such venues as legislative offices, museums, political campaigns, nonprofit organizations and media companies. Further opportunities in the political science program include participating in an internship, testing your competitive and debate strategies in a mock trial and help influence forge solutions on our Model United Nations Team.
