It is designed to prepare you for a career in corrections, probation, criminology, forensic sciences, law enforcement, immigration, and security administration. The curriculum offers a balance of theory and application in the areas of: Criminology, Criminal Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Introduction to Corrections, Policing, Criminal Justice Report Writing, Constitutional Law, Concepts of Criminal Law, Computer Applications, and Juvenile Delinquency. The program includes a comprehensive study of the national criminal justice system, correctional organizations, and law enforcement agencies. You will learn the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior. Rules of evidence, basic investigative techniques and the philosophy of criminal law are additional areas of study.
