M.S. in Nursing - Education (RN to MSN Option)

The curriculum of this program incorporates mastery of the competencies established by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for nurse administrator certification, and focuses on 11 domains of study including: policy, organization, and financing, nursing education and science, nursing theory and practice, quantitative literacy, research fundamentals, and language and communication.

Completion of a capstone project and a 40-hour practicum in nursing management are also required. Total program: 151 Competency Units (credit equivalents) less any competency units waived through transfer of prior college credits.

Largely self-paced and flexible, this program is for RNs who have an associate's degree or nursing diploma, a current, unencumbered RN license, and wish to earn a master's degree to move into nursing education.
