Bellevue University’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems - Networking (SNAP) degree is designed to provide technology skills that meet the administrative needs of today's network-driven information infrastructure. Students will gain skills in designing, installing, managing, and upgrading computer systems and network infrastructures that are common in most corporations today including Microsoft products, UNIX®/ Linux® Operating systems, Cisco products, Oracle Database Management Systems, and related hardware and software components. A variety of assignments and techniques are used to promote critical thinking and direct application of course material. Students in this program can expect to learn how to: install, configure, and manage computer systems networks, explore important aspects of systems and network administration, including network planning and the systems development life cycle, and design, configure, administer, and optimize small, medium, and enterprise networks. Course highlights include Structured System Analysis and Design, Business Telecommunications and Implementing and Managing Network Infrastructures.
