Students must successfully complete an internship, which requires students to conduct action research and produce a manuscript of publishable quality. A six-hour written comprehensive examination is required for successful completion of the program. Finally, EdS students must take three courses in the area of special education, one of which is mandatory while the remaining two are elective. A total of 33 credits must be earned. Students applying must send a statement of objectives/professional goals, resume and two recommendations.
