Master of Education Online Degree Information

Rowan University’s Online M.Ed. provides students with current knowledge, practical skills and shared experiences to become educational leaders focused on the classroom. The program prepares professionals for career advancement, senior leadership positions as well as a sound foundation for doctoral level studies. The program is designed for teachers who desire to develop, hone their leadership skills but remain in the classroom. Students will enhance their abilities to lead not only in their classrooms, but also in the school by working with curriculums, becoming mentor/master teachers, developing new programs, and a variety of other activities that improve schooling for all.

The M.Ed. program is divided into two components: core courses and specialization in Educational Technology. Students who complete the online M.Ed. also receive a certificate of graduate study in Educational Technology. This is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing technological processes and resources. As K-12 students become more reliant on technology it is important educators combine technology in the classroom.
