This unique Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction is a blend of two well-known programs at UNK: Special Education and Reading. This innovative and creative educational program will provide teachers with the skills and knowledge to work with struggling readers and students with exceptionalities. This 36-credit hour degree is designed for K-6 classroom teachers, as well as Special Education and Reading teachers. This NCATE-accredited program will be offered in an online cohort format. To complete the program, you will need to take six credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters as well as during the summer sessions. The 24-month program begins in August 2008 with a completion date of August 2010. UNK offers affordable tuition. For 2007-2008 nonresident graduate online tuition is $265.50 per credit hour; resident graduate tuition is $170.00.
