Peirce College offers an Associate of Science Degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Desktop Applications. Students who choose this concentration will learn how to use the Microsoft® Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) in the workplace. Courses in this concentration will cover introductory and intermediate levels of content, as well as introductory business concepts to enhance their breadth and depth of knowledge.

This concentration focuses on how students can solve business problems by utilizing the correct desktop applications. Course highlights of this AS in Information Technology include: Networking Fundamentals, Database Intermediate Concepts, HTML and the World Wide Web. By the completion of the associate degree, students will have learned the fundamentals needed to assist them in the preparation for the industry standard certification exams for the Microsoft Office Specialist designation.

Students will complete a minimum of 61 credits to earn an associate degree. Generally, a student will complete 61 credits in 21 classes.
