The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) School of Public Administration offers a concentration in the MPA degree in Public Management. This is a 39 credit program which prepares its students for management positions at all levels of government. US News and World Report ranks this concentration 15th in the nation. Four other UNO public administration concentrations are ranked in the top twenty (information management 6th, public finance & budgeting 9th, city management/urban policy 13th, and nonprofit management 18th).

UNO’s Masters in Public Administration is one of the premier programs in the nation. It was one of the first programs accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), and has been continuously re-accredited since then. The online program, offered since 2000, is accredited by NASPAA and noted as a “model of best practices.” Online courses are taught by full-time faculty who are national leaders in their fields as scholars and leaders of national associations. The curriculum is focused on management skills to develop leaders in the public sector. Graduates are in leadership positions throughout the nation.
