Eastern Kentucky University
Description:
The need for educated and experienced professionals in occupational safety continues to rise as do the job opportunities available to such professionals. Eastern Kentucky University recognized this need and has developed a Certificate in Occupational Safety which can be completed independently of the degree program. Should you decide you would like to continue with the program after completing the certificate, the credits you earn can be transferred over and applied to the Master's degree program. The Occupational Safety Certificate is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a high-level safety position. This program is also designed to educate students on the personal and environmental risks within the workplace on how to assess, analyze and develop safety, emergency management, security and environmental compliance programs and how to investigate, manage, and prevent hazards/threats in the workplace.
