Women Who Rule the World Events

Elisha Silvera, Executive Director of the Steve Harvey Foundation

Elisha Silvera

Elisha Silvera is the Executive Director of the Steve Harvey Foundation, and she is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission — to mentor young men through the Principles of Manhood to enable them to achieve their dreams to therefore become better citizens, better fathers, better husbands, and better MEN who are emotionally, politically and economically strong.

Ms. Silvera began her non-profit career at the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) where she began as Special Events Coordinator. There she quickly moved up the ladder to become a Development Officer. While in this role, she led major fund raising events and managed two volunteer fund raising committees which raised $500,000 for amFAR. Soon after, Ms. Silvera worked with the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation as both a fund raising consultant and served as acting Executive Director. Here she created and led a comprehensive fund raising program by creating new corporate partners, private donors, and enhanced the Foundations annual BIG Night Out Dinner.

Prior to joining The Steve Harvey Foundation, Ms. Silvera was the Vice President of Events Services for Glow Media where she led an event team to produce events and meetings for the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, NFL Players Wives Assn, Alliance Multicultural University and Community in Schools of New Jersey. As a freelance event planner she also created memorable events and programs for the Police Athletic League, Wellness Interactive, Question Mark Entertainment and Wendy Williams.
