Karna Crawford is a traditional and online consumer marketing executive driven by passion — passion for results, passion for creativity, and passion for learning. Karna harnesses this passion in her role as EVP Chief Media & Connections Officer for Engauge Marketing. For Engauge, Karna sets the vision and leads the team in identifying and quantifying the appropriate mix of communication channels to reach, engage and drive action among consumers, including paid media, branded experience online and offline, SEM/SEO, and other direct marketing contacts. Karna calls upon her deep background in media, interactive, and strategy to act as a thought leader among clients for defining new and measureable ways to break through the fragmented communication clutter and engage consumers with meaningful messages that drive action. Through speed, accountability, and simplicity, she builds profitable relationships between consumers and brands online and offline.
Prior to Engauge, Karna was Director of Media & Interactive Integrated Communications for The Coca-Cola Company, where she led the team responsible for defining media communication strategy & plans for many of the world’s most iconic beverage brands, including the flagship, Coca-Cola classic, as well as, the Diet Coke, Sprite and Coca-Cola Zero brands. In addition to delivering effective and creative media plans, Karna stewarded her team in flawlessly executing ground-breaking interactive advertising & emerging technology programs that delighted consumers for programs such as Coca-Cola Zero Fantasy Football, NCAA, Olympics, NASCAR, American Idol and numerous other properties and initiatives.
Recognized industry-wide as having a deep passion for what she does and how she gets it done, Karna, her initiatives and her teams have received numerous accolades including PROMO Magazine Interactive Marketing Award for Search, Advertising Research Federation Honorable Mention in stewarding best in class research programs, numerous Webby and ADDY Awards, America Advertising Federation’s Mosaic Media Award for Outstanding African-American Online Advertising and any more.
