Cathy Alessandra, President & Founder, National Association of Entrepreneur Moms & What’s Up for Kids, LLC

Cathy Alessandra is Founder and President of the National Association of Entrepreneur Moms, an association dedicated to empowering moms to consciously create a balanced life. Cathy has been a mom-preneur for over 15 years while raising three children and growing a successful six figure business.
After having 2 of her 3 children, she realized the need for a local family publication in her community. In 1995, she began What’s Up For Kids, a magazine and event company serving Southern California. What began as a 4 page copied newsletter with a circulation of 1000 is now a 32 page glossy full color magazine with a circulation of 20,000. What’s Up For Kids also produces 4 family expos in Southern California.
During the years of growing What’s Up For Kids, LLC, Cathy experienced the struggle of juggling babies and a business from a home office. During a recent journey of self discovery, she came to realize a new purpose – one that will help moms like her grow their business to the next level while enjoying all the benefits of motherhood - without suffering from “SuperMom Fatigue”. Cathy thrives on being an entrepreneur and while the last 15 years have had its challenges, she feels she has had the best of both worlds. The National Association of Entrepreneur Moms offers tools to help moms balance and grow, both personally and professionally.
Cathy resides in Palos Verdes, CA with her husband and 3 children, ages 13, 15 and 17 and a golden retriever named Dixie! She is actively involved in her community as Founder/President of Teens on a Mission, a junior philanthropy group as well as serving on the Board of Trustees at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital.
