Jessica Brown, Human Resources Senior Specialist, Accenture.
Jessica Brown is a Human Resources Senior Specialist for Accenture, a Management Consulting Firm. She has over 10 years of HR experience that spans various HR Specialties and is currently working on her Senior Professional in Human Resources recertification. Jessica has worked in various industries to include Telecommunications, Software Development, Technical Recruiting and Staffing.
Jessica is a decorated Veteran of the US Army and was the recipient of the Southwest Asia Service Medal for her service in Operation Desert Storm and also served in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. Jessica served in the Army for four years, and after receiving an Honorable discharge she attended college at Old Dominion University where she majored in Communication. She later went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Business and Organizational Management from the University of LaVerne.
Jessica is an active volunteer with Dress for Success and serves as a Professional Mentor to one of their clients. She has also been invited to speak to the Professional Women’s Group at Dress for Success to provide tips on “Acing the Interview” and “Dealing with Difficult Situations in the workplace”. Volunteering and mentoring is a passion of Jessica’s and she has also mentored pre-teen and teen girls through a Social Service Organization in Maryland.
Jessica was featured in a “Best in Class” overview by Accenture for HR Professionals that have maintained high levels of performance. The data was compiled and sent to HR leadership and other HR professionals as a guide/ coaching tool to being a high performer in HR.
Jessica is one of three children and was raised by a single mom that was also an immigrant, so she has first- hand knowledge of the struggles single mothers face.
