About

Cowley College is a two year community and vocational school in Arkansas City KS. They maintain several campus locations in Arkansas City, Mulvane, and Wichita, as well as their online programs. They offer more than eighty different programs, each designed to help students build up the skills and expertise they might need once they start their careers.

Cowley was originally founded in 1922 as a junior college. At the time, it was known as Arkansas City Junior College, operating out of Arkansas City High School. It became known as Cowley County Community College in 1965. They also maintain an athletics program known as the Cowley Tigers, participating in the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

Cowley maintains a robust online program, so as to meet the needs of today’s students.  These online programs enable students to balance their study with a busy schedule, whether that’s work or family. And students may not be locked into 100% online study. Rather, as a student in an online program, you could choose to enroll in on-campus courses, too.

They offer more than thirty online associates degree and certificate programs, in areas like business, liberal arts, leadership, healthcare, and education.

Cowley College Athletics

The Cowley Tigers maintain several men’s and women’s sports teams for students to get involved with. These include baseball, basketball, cross country, track and field, soccer, tennis, wrestling, softball, and volleyball. They also offer a dance team.
