Where is Endicott College?

Endicott College is located in Beverly, Massachusetts. It’s small, seaside campus is just north of Boston. Students could enjoy spending their time lounging on the two campus beaches, or pursuing their studies in one of the school’s 55 academic buildings.

How Many Students go to Endicott College?

In fall 2015, 4,695 students enrolled in Endicott College. The majority of these students were attending undergraduate degree programs. 3,151 students entered undergrad programs. 61% of the student body was female while 39% were male. Of these students, 85% attended full-time and 15% part-time.

Many adult learners choose to pursue their studies as part of the Van Loan School. Due to this, undergraduate students tend to be younger. 90% of undergrad students were 24 years or younger.

In terms of graduate enrollment, EC had 1,544 enrolled in their masters, doctoral, and postgraduate programs. Out of these students, 70% attended part-time and 30% attended full-time.i

Endicott College Admissions Process

Undergraduate students could choose to apply to Endicott College’s online programs in both the spring and fall. To apply, undergrad students could visit Endicott.edu. As part of this process, students may be asked to supply the following materials.

  • Completed Online Application

  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Resume (Optional)
  • SAT and ACT Scores (Optional)

The undergraduate application may require students to pay a $50 application fee.

Students applying to visual art or design degree programs may also be required to submit an art portfolio. The portfolio should include 20 samples of your work. These could be submitted as jpgs on a CD or USB flash drive. These materials could be submitted to the college after completing your digital application.

Applying to the Van Loan School for Adult Education

Adult learners could choose to apply to the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Van Loan School. Undergraduate applying to this program may be required to submit the following.

  • 250-500 Word Career Goal Essay
  • High School Transcript or GED
  • Letter of Recommendation

Graduate programs in the Van Loan School may require students to provide the following materials.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • 250-500 Word Career Goal Essay

Graduate students may also be asked to interview with the current program director or vice president of the Van Loan School.

Endicott College Acceptance Rate

The Endicott acceptance rate is 73% for undergraduate students. This means out of the 4,005 applicants, around 2,923 were accepted into their degree programs. EC accepted 74% of male applicants and 72% of female. Out of these accepted students, 28% would go on to officially enroll in Endicott.

And, many of those students stay with EC throughout their educational career. Of the first-time students who began their studies in fall 2014, 86% of full-time and 40% of part-time returned to their degree program the following year.i

The Online Endicott College Experience

Online programs at Endicott College are offered as part of the Can Loan School. The programs are offered 100% online. Students may not have to come on campus to fulfill certain requirements or meet with department faculty.

In 2015, 3% of undergraduate students are only enrolled in distance education programs. An additional 14% supplement their curriculum with some distance education.

More graduate students take part in online learning. 38% of graduate students are enrolled solely in distance education. Another 3% would choose to enroll in some distance education.i

Applying for EC Financial Aid

Of the full-time, beginning undergraduate students in 2014-2015, 92% received some form of financial aid. This means that 687 students received financial support to pursue their degree program of choice. 88% of these students received financial aid from a grant or scholarship. Students received the following median amount of aid from the listed programs.

  • Federal Grants, $4,141
  • State & Local Government Grants or Scholarships, $3,722
  • Institutional Grants or Scholarships, $11,962

In addition, another 74% of students received student loan aid. These students received a median amount of $9,835 in aid from federal and other loan sources.i

Endicott also offers the Tuition Management System to help students better afford their education. This system provides financing options for students to create a personalized payment plan.

The Faculty of Endicott College

The Endicott College faculty is comprised of 98 full-time and 290 part-time members. These professors devote 100% of their time to instructing students. No professors conduct outside research or public service that could potentially take away from valuable class time.

Additionally, EC does not employee graduate assistants to teach courses. This means that classes are solely taught by professors who have trained in their field.i

Is Endicott College Accredited?

EC is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Higher Education (NEASC). The NEASC is a non-profit organization that accredits schools who constantly strive to enhance their educational options. This could include updating course material, technological improvements, or offering professional development for faculty.

Online Business Management Bachelors Degree Programs

The online bachelor of science in business management is a popular option for distance learners. Classes in this program cover the basics needed to address many different business obstacles. This could include working with management, marketing, law, finance, and international business. In addition, classes offer in-class and internship opportunities for students to develop their leadership and communication knowledge.

Courses in this program could include the following subjects.

  • Financial Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Organizational Behavior
  • Microeconomics

You may be asked to complete 126 credit hours as part of the degree program. 27 of those credit hours could be put towards outside elective courses. This could be a great way to expand your knowledge or pursue another passion of yours!

With this in mind, students could potentially earn a bachelor of science in business management in 4 years.

EC conferred 112 undergraduate and 154 graduate degrees in business management in the 2015-2016 school year.i

Graduating from EC

71% of full-time, first-time students who began their studies in 2009 graduated within 150% of the “normal time” of completion. “Normal time” is typically 4 years for a bachelors degree. In fact, 65% of the students who graduated did so with 4 years. 71% of the remaining students would go on to earn their degree in 6 years.

These numbers do not include students who transferred to EC or began their studies as a part-time student.i
