Distance Learning at Ocean County College Online (OCC)

Ocean County College Online is an affordable, public, two-year community college located in Toms River, New Jersey with a main campus beautifully located just 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Over 10,000 students attend OCC both for on-site and online courses.

Ocean Online offers 5 COMPLETE online associate degree programs: Business, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, General Studies, and Computer Science. Class offerings can be taken as part of a degree program or on a course-by-course basis according to student needs. Our degree programs emphasize active participatory learning. Students are fully engaged in their coursework and scheduling. Online courses follow the same academic rigor and calendar as traditional on campus courses. OCC offers 6 possible start times a year.

Ocean County College Online makes registering for our online classes and online courses easy with committed e-learning enrollment advisors available for assistance throughout the process. Successfully completed courses and degrees are transferable in order to complete your Baccalaureate. Apply online and submit any previous college work for possible credit to ease the application and acceptance process.

Placement testing is required for all students before determining what classes they are able to attend and in which areas students have proficiencies. 

Financial Aid

In addition to a wide variety of academic scholarships and awards, Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available to eligible students, which includes Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Family Education Loan Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and Federal PLUS (Parent Loans).

Students seeking financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Our School Code is 002624.
